No one uses Phantom on EVM. Its departure from Monad is a nothing burger.
Monad:
- Is one spot away from being the top 10 chain by TVL
- Dropped block times to 300ms, a lot more impressive than L2s doing so (distributed consensus vs centralized sequencer block propagation)
- Grew its stablecoin market cap by 62% in 4mo
Regardless of the AI slop you read on CT, @Monad's fundamentals are stronger than ever.
Strive for objectiveness, my brothers.
Monad raised ~$262,000,000 privately.
Then launched a $187.5M public sale for $MON at a $2.5B valuation.
Demand reached $276M
Now, less than nine months after mainnet, Phantom is ending support.
Is Monad joining the L1 graveyard? https://t.co/5GjZxw1csI
Do you know why Apple succeeded? Apple was product- and user-focused. It cared greatly about how the user would experience the product and their satisfaction.
Also, Apple releases few but priority products, allowing it to focus on the product. It combines quality with simplicity, freeing users from unnecessary complexity. Even though this challenges engineers a lot, the reason the screen of the phone you are holding has no buttons is Apple.
You can see Steve Jobs' obsessive mind at Apple; he even meddles with the toilet paper the company uses. Apple designed its own hardware, design, interface, chip design, packaging, and product presentation. This closed approach brought control and quality advantages.
Even presentations are worked on for days and kept secret from employees. Different departments didn't know the final form of the product; it was hidden through various filters so no one had full access.
Steve Jobs didn't think good products would come from large groups and believed a person at level A would want to work with another level A person. He thought small, qualified teams make a huge difference and that the differences between people are vast. At the same time, small teams make decisions much faster.
Steve Jobs has a video saying Windows has no soul, that it produces soulless products and doesn't really consider its customers; this is partially true. Apple's vision is to release few, essential products and make them insanely good.
While Apple thinks so much about user experience and the product, almost all crypto projects ignore users, seeing them as a like or comment on social media, so I'm not surprised at their failures at all. The crypto world needs a Steve Jobs, hopefully one will come soon.
#Phantom has removed #Monad from the supported networks. If you remember, it hadn't even been a year and everyone was trying to support $MON, the excitement was huge.
#Monad's failure is epic; while all the CTs were talking about you, you're now being kicked out of wallets. VC's, CEX's and the like have always taken the opposite stance, causing damage.
A wallet adding and then removing a network with such eagerness has never been seen, probably also showing Phantom's dissatisfaction with the market; they're clearly not happy with some things and their revenues are already dropping.
