Nice to see dApps already deploying on top Morpho Midnight and the first to do that is @TenorFinance. If you are interested in understanding what Tenor offers and what you can do on the platform, here is a quick TL;DR. Tenor extends Morpho’s lending infrastructure by introducing fixed-rate markets alongside the variable-rate opportunities already available across Morpho Blue. So, how does it work? Tenor will have monthly-settled markets where users can supply collateral such as cbBTC or wETH to borrow assets like USDC. Unlike variable-rate lending markets, the interest rate agreed upon when you lend or borrow does not change during the market’s term which gives both sides a more predictable, “sit and wait” position. At maturity, lenders will need to redeposit their funds into a new market if they want to continue earning, while borrowers will be able to roll their positions into the next term. Beyond these standard markets, Tenor also supports OTC markets, where participants can create customized offers with their preferred rates, collateral, maturity dates, and other parameters. One interesting way to use Tenor is to obtain a fixed-rate loan and deposit the borrowed assets into a Morpho vault—or even an opportunity outside Morpho—earning a higher variable yield. For example, borrowing USDC at a fixed 5% and deploying it into a pool earning 8% creates a positive spread, although users still need to account for collateral risk, liquidation risk, changing deposit yields, and transaction costs. Tenor is also offering lenders 1–2× $MORPHO incentives, depending on the market.
