    While overall market conditions have been relatively weak in the past year, one interesting divergence is how average DEX spot volumes have continued to grow. A large part of this was driven by @PancakeSwap, largely fueled by the Binance Alpha token launch model. By mid-2025, this trend hit its peak where many projects opted for Alpha listings which effectively launching synthetic versions on @BNBCHAIN to tap into distribution and liquidity. And naturally, the biggest beneficiary of this flow was the primary on-chain venue. The “Binance Alpha Effect” was actually quite significant when you look at the data. PancakeSwap maintained >50% DEX volume dominance throughout Q2–Q3 2025, even peaking at 63.1%, outperforming Uniswap by a wide margin. But as with most reflexive cycles in crypto, once the Alpha-driven momentum faded, so did the volume dominance. So what's the takeaway here? IMO its a good reminder that DEX dominance is deeply tied to distribution pipelines and issuance flows. h/t @artemis for th
