MEV is one of the least beginner-friendly ideas in crypto, but it matters a lot.

Very simply, transaction ordering has value. If you can decide what gets processed first, you can sometimes extract profit from that position. That can show up as front-running, back-running, liquidation races, sandwich attacks, and other behavior users often do not see until it hurts them.

So when people talk about sequencing, ordering, and execution design, this is one reason it matters beyond abstract theory. Ordering is not neutral. It has economic consequences.

That is also why Kaspa's architecture conversations around sequencing, fairer ordering, and based execution are not side quests.
