The most interesting thing I came across CT today is Base’s new B20 standard.

Not a new token, B20 is a native token standard integrated directly into @base, instead of requiring issuers to deploy a separate smart contract like a normal ERC-20.

> designed for stablecoins, RWAs and tokenized assets, while staying 100% ERC-20 compatible.

To me, this is one of the most practical and clearly directed Base upgrades recently.

Base network's two outages have been fixed, user funds are safe, and there is a commitment to strengthen system stability.

🚨@base network reveals the cause of recent network outages 👀

Base explained that the two main network outages on June 25 and 26, lasting about 116 minutes and 20 minutes respectively, were caused by the same software bug 🔥

According to the team, the problem was in the Sequencer responsible for block building, where a bug in the block construction mechanism continuously kept an old state after a transaction failure, resulting in a block containing an Invalid State Transition.

Base confirmed that:

• Users' funds were not affected 💰
• The bug has been fully fixed ✅
• Load Testing, Fuzz Testing, monitoring systems, and network recovery mechanisms will be strengthened to reduce the likelihood of recurrence in the future.

The incident highlights that scaling second-layer networks requires not only speed but also a technical architecture capable of tolerating errors and maintaining network stability 🌐
