According to Protos, AI shopping proxy developer ORO released a post‑mortem report stating that an employee, while communicating on Telegram with a conference contact whose account had been compromised, mistakenly clicked a malicious software update masquerading as Microsoft Teams, resulting in a malicious extension being installed on the computer. After lying dormant for nearly a month, the extension stole 147,000 Alpha tokens from ORO’s wallet on July 13, worth approximately $630,000.
