    ETH Monthly Chart | How Could Q1 2026 Play Out? Friends, I consider the possibility of seeing a positive picture for Ethereum in the Jan‑Feb‑Mar 2026 period to be high. Looking at past cycles there is a clear contrast: 2017–2021 Q1 was almost entirely green. 2025 Q1, on the contrary, closed completely red. The same holds for the last quarters: 2017–2021 Q4 was generally green. 2025 Q4 presented a completely red picture. This reversal makes me think: It would not be surprising to see a green instead of red picture in Q1 2026. For Ethereum specifically: this could indicate a shorter, different bear structure rather than the classic long and draining bear. My overall view remains cautious and weighted negative, but I leave an exception for Q1 2026. My possible scenario: 2026 Q1: Positive / recovery 2026 Q2 and Q3: Resumption of pressure and negative sentiment 2026 Final Quarter: Market slowly starting to recover However I underline especially: For all these scenarios to make sense, Q1 2026 must indeed be green and the technical charts at quarter end must confirm this.     Ethereum this year closed red for a full 8 months. If December also closes red, we will have seen a total of 9 months of red closes. While expecting a bull cycle for 2024–2025, we have experienced a total of 15 months of red closes since 2024. Comparing this table with the 2018 and 2022 month cycles makes the situation even more striking. Even in those periods there was an Ethereum that closed red for 8 months and hit the bottom. In contrast, the 2024–2025 process has clearly gone terrible. Looking at the performance over the last 3 years, except for 2023, it is hard not to say that Ethereum has been almost completely disappointing.
