Perhaps in the future, the consensus of most blockchain networks will evolve toward PoP. 🤔 At its core, PoP tries to answer a fundamental question: how many independent human beings are actually represented behind a validator set? For example, a network like @Polkadot may have 1,000 validators on paper. But if one individual or a single company can operate 100 validators, then in reality those 1,000 validators might be controlled by just 10 people or 10 large organizations. The role of PoP is to ensure that each validator is backed by a genuinely independent person—so that 1,000 validators truly correspond to 1,000 independent participants. This helps preserve decentralization and reduces the likelihood of the network being captured or attacked. Of course, we would still need economic mechanisms that give validators rewards, as well as penalties they would prefer to avoid, to ensure stable and honest operation. In many ways, this idea is closer to something Satoshi once described as “one-CPU-one-vote.”

💥 PBA unveils its 2026 roadmap: more focused on @paritytech talent + a product-driven direction! Polkadot Blockchain Academy (PBA) shared a major 2026 update yesterday. After PBA7 wrapped in Bali, the team completed an internal restructuring and redesigned Polkadot’s education programs for 2026. Since 2022, PBA has run 7 in-person Campus cohorts (Cambridge, Buenos Aires, Berkeley, Hong Kong, Singapore, Lucerne, Bali), building a 500+ alumni community. Its foundational online course PBA-X launched in 2025 and has been completed by 1,000+ learners. PBA also hosted Governance For New Leadership in Lucerne and Bali, bringing together nearly 100 policymakers.
