    Boros just crossed $10M TVL. Here's what the charts actually show. The protocol hit the milestone, but the real story is in open interest, specifically RWA exposure. 🔸 RWA open interest jumped roughly 230% month-over-month to around $20M 🔸 That's approximately 10% of total protocol activity now 🔸 More than half sits in Binance's gold perpetual market Gold is pulling TradFi capital into DeFi because it's familiar and works as a hedge that traditional finance already understands. What's Actually Happening? The charts show Boros notional open interest from late December through late March. Two patterns jump out. 🔸 Total OI spiked from roughly $50-100M to over $200M between mid-January and early February, then pulled back to around $150-180M by late March. That January spike lines up with when Binance launched its gold and silver perpetuals. 🔸 Market share shifted. Early on, Binance ETH and OKX ETH dominated with 50-60% combined. By late March, things flattened out with no single market above 25-30%.

    📉 Gold falls 17% while Binance records $17B weekly futures Volume In a context of intensifying geopolitical tensions and renewed concerns about inflation, gold has nonetheless recorded a drawdown of more than 17% (daily close) from its all time high above $5,300, reached at the end of January. 📈 Since 2024, gold had delivered a performance of roughly 160%, which had naturally attracted significant liquidity to the market. Given the evolution of the macro environment, a large amount of capital had flowed into gold, and many leveraged positions were built during this period. The recent decline triggered margin calls, forcing some of these positions to be liquidated. It is also likely that some investors voluntarily closed positions to secure profits or to cover other positions that may have been under pressure due to developments in equity or currency markets. During this decline, futures trading volumes on Binance reached record levels since their launch in January. 💥 As the price of Gold approached $4,400 on March 23,trading volumes on Binance surged to more than $6.6 billion in a single day. ➡️ Seven day trading volume also reached elevated levels, with a cumulative amount exceeding $17B. ➡️ When aggregating all gold futures trading volumes on Binance, the scale of investor interest becomes evident. In just three months, Binance has recorded more than $72B in total trading volume. With the introduction of tokenized exposure to an asset such as gold, Binance has effectively responded to a real demand from investors who previously operated primarily within the crypto ecosystem.
