This lowkey sounds like one of those Web3 sentences that makes you nod your head even when you have no idea what it means. 😂 So let's Do our Own research together on this one A Thread 🧵

Now Imagine you want to exchange $10,000 USDC, there are 2 major ways this can happen in DeFi One is through an AMM,while the other is through an RFQ Both can get the job done obviously but in very different ways ,so stay with me while I dismember these Complex Terminologies 😁

An AMM (Automated Market Maker) is like a vending machine, you insert one token, and the machine automatically gives you another. - No human - No negotiation Just math and liquidity pools doing the work Really Simple, until you make a really big trade https://t.co/VNYYrL1JM3

Now Here's the catch Imagine the vending machine only has a limited amount of drinks, the more drinks you buy, the more expensive the remaining ones become That's exactly what happens with large swaps on an AMM, We call that slippage.

Now meet the second option: The RFQ (Request for Quote) So Instead of walking up to a vending machine, You directly call up several currency dealers (Or bureau de change as i like to call them) and ask: "I need 10,000 USDC. Who has the best price?" https://t.co/qhiJuQvNL8

They all send you offers, you pick the cheapest one Easy Peasy This is why institutions love RFQs. If a bank wants to swap $50 million, it's usually better to get competitive quotes than to push that trade through a liquidity pool and move the market.

So what is Gurufin trying to do? Instead of saying, "Every trade must use an AMM," or "Every trade must use RFQ," they're saying... "Let's check both and use whichever gives the user the better deal." https://t.co/MR4qeguKK7

Think of it like searching for flights, you don't visit one airline and hope for the best Travel apps compare multiple airlines before showing you the cheapest ticket. Gurufin wants to compare multiple liquidity sources before executing your swap.

For users, Gurufin is basically offering - Better exchange rates - Lower slippage - More liquidity and - More efficient trade execution Finally a way for everybody to win
