TRON's Quantum-Resistant Signature Feature Is Now Live on Testnet! TRON's post-quantum signature capability has officially arrived on testnet — developers are welcome to start building with it. In the face of the quantum era, TRON is taking action to build the most secure blockchain for the post-quantum age. The TRON Nile testnet passed Committee Proposal No. 20628 on July 2, 2026 at 12:10 (Singapore time). Under this proposal, the Nile testnet has officially enabled its post-quantum signature feature, with FN-DSA-512 as the first signature algorithm to go live.

Quantum computers haven't arrived yet, but Tron's bulletproof vest is already here Tron has deployed quantum‑resistant signatures on the Nile testnet. Why resist quantum? Currently, all blockchain account security relies on long‑standing cryptographic algorithms. These algorithms are more than sufficient against present‑day technology, but if a quantum computer ever matures, they could theoretically be broken. At that point, private keys would no longer be secure. The solution is backed by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) The two signature schemes Tron uses are both official NIST‑standardized algorithms, not home‑grown solutions. These standards have undergone years of open review and attack testing by the global cryptographic community before being selected, achieving consensus on their security. Their coverage is comprehensive, encompassing transaction signatures, block signatures, and other critical components. How fast is Tron? Brother Sun only announced the plan in mid‑April, and it took roughly 11 weeks to land on the testnet. Tron is likely the first team to implement this. Of course, this is still an early version on the testnet, and there is still a road of polishing before it becomes truly usable. But at Tron's current pace, even before quantum computers mature, Tron's quantum‑resistant signatures will already be ready. User asset security is always the top priority Quantum threats may still be far away, but preparing in advance never hurts. Security is something you don’t see or feel day‑to‑day, and you only realize its value when something goes wrong.
