AI accidentally helped create a $594M memecoin in 2024 An AI agent called Truth Terminal, built by Andy Ayrey, started posting strange meme content online. This later inspired the Solana memecoin Goatseus Maximus, which quickly exploded to a $594M market cap. At the peak, the AI’s wallet held $800K+, making it the first AI crypto millionaire. Today, the token is about 68% down from its all-time high.

The market made you buy the next goat 47 times at 300k-2m mc in 2024-2025 so that you would fade the much better goat at 5m mc. Goat was shit tech and Andy is low vibrations. Lobstar is insane tech and Pash is the highest in the mfin room.

One thing is for certain - on every large runner (think back to $goat), there's always major FUD. - Bundled wallets! - Dev is selling! - The tech is a LARP, it's just AI slop! - The bubble maps and PA is artificial As my man @lesabrefomo says, you get paid to take and manage risk. Thats the upside. If not, we would just teleport to $100m+ or O in everything right away, and there are no "trenches". There are a bunch of AI runners lately and they've done pretty well relative to the last year. With that said, I don't see this as a true $GOAT moment for several reasons: -When something goes to the 'next level', it has to dramatically outperform/improve from the first iteration. Think $HYPE over dydx or GMX. -New narratives are strong because they're new. They're untested, they are the new frontier. There are no ceilings and they oftentimes run much harder because there are no comps available. In crypto we always compare things on a relative basis (oh, ETH is xxx so Monad must be yyy). This does not exist for new narratives. ...So when there's a rehash of a current narrative, people already have ptsd and a framework to work with. 'Oh this is just like zerebro with a few new things'. -New coins will continue to evolve and replace the old ones in an old narrative. Pendle, Aero, Syrup are all newer DeFi coins than AAVE, CRV, and UNI. But at the end of the day, they're still framed as 'Defi' and thus have a cap on the overall upside. Only when you introduce something very weird and new (OHM) can it break out. -But still, onchain is still an overall slave to liquidity and we haven't had insane conditions like 2024 (and arguably wont again for a long time). Not only was native crypto liquidity stronger but GOAT was a true PvE situation, where you introduced onchain to a bunch of AI guys. That's obviously happening here to some degree as well, but not on the scale of 2024 (in terms of where it's shown on the charts). -That's not to say there are not opportunities; there really are going to be plenty. There were a lot of AI ones the last few weeks (I haven't fired) and it's cool seeing others like moltbook/clawd (and all of the other derivs)/etc move. -At the end of the day, things are really the same as they always are: we're creating stories in our heads as to why these vapor coins are worth more than $0 and trying to get others to buy our bags. That's it. The end. It's the same story rendered 100000 times in crypto. This isn't a 'brand new thing' in reality- sure, you can share that to your friends or on twitter or somewhere else. But don't forget these things are all going to trade to $0 eventually.
