    After extracting everything they could from the CEX side of the business, Binance is now squeezing every last drop of value from their DEX stack via PancakeSwap. The numbers are absurd and almost entirely driven by wash trading: $20B in daily volume on Pancakeswap. 70% DEX market share. 80% chain-level market share for BNB Chain. Compare that to Uniswap, the clear incumbent, which does roughly $2B in daily volume and holds only 18% market share. All of that is fueled by Binance Alpha and one empty promise: “If we see enough volume and demand on Alpha, we’ll list you on the main exchange for free!” Of course lol. Desperate founders and their shady market makers are now manufacturing artificial volume on PancakeSwap, hoping to get noticed by Binance. In the process, they’re burning enormous amounts of capital, and guess where that money ultimately ends up. If it weren’t for how predatory their value extraction is, I’d almost admire how easily Binance keeps convincing people to fall for the same playbook.
