Starknet is quietly laying the groundwork for two things crypto will need in the years ahead: privacy and quantum resistance.
In the v0.14.3 proposal, two notable changes are currently up for vote:
• Keccak support for client-side proving, paving the way for private transactions that leverage EVM signatures.
• Replacing Pedersen with Blake in SNOS, an important step toward strengthening resilience against future quantum computing risks.
Voting is now open to stakers and delegators and will remain open until June 26.
Upgrades like these may not generate flashy headlines, but they are the kind of foundational infrastructure decisions that will determine which blockchains remain relevant over the next 5–10 years.
A new vote to approve the two new optimizations included in Starknet v0.14.3 is now live.
stakers and delegators can now vote on whether to implement these two upgrades focused on EVM privacy and quantum security.
Voting ends on June 26, while deployment is planned for Testnet on June 22 with Mainnet targeted for July 6.
