The deadline for crypto firms in the EU is July 1, and according to data only about 210 out of more than 1200 entities have obtained full MiCA authorization.
This means that most firms are still operating without a full license.
ESMA makes it clear: after the deadline there is no “pending” status. A firm is either authorized or violates EU regulations.
The greatest pressure will be on exchanges and trading platforms, because only a small portion of the current authorizations pertain to actual trading platforms.
The crypto market in Europe is entering a very important moment.

Europe's crypto licensing cliff arrives July 1, and the bulk of the industry hasn't cleared it. Of the more than 1,200 firms that held national registrations across the bloc, only around 210 have secured full MiCA authorization, according to the EU's official register. That leaves roughly 83% unlicensed with days to go.
There's no soft landing. ESMA has said there is no "pending" status after the deadline: a firm is either authorized or in breach of EU law, with no right to keep serving EU clients.
The squeeze is sharpest at the top. Of all those authorizations, only 14 cover actual trading platforms.

Weeks later, after Bitcoin fell below $16,000, our debt exceeded the combined value of our BTC and cash reserves by ~$300 million, and $MSTR fell into the $13 range by year-end.
