    $HYPE is up 68% in the past month. Can Solana tokens do the same? How is Hyperliquid’s buyback engine pushing the price so aggressively? And more importantly: Could Solana projects replicate it? ✅ Hyperliquid routes 97-99% of trading fees into an onchain Assistance Fund that buys back $HYPE. ✅ The fund buys 24/7 on the open market through predefined rules. Everything is automated. ✅ Over $1.1B has already been deployed, creating constant buy pressure. ✅ The model scales with usage. More trading → more fees → more buybacks. ✅ Annual buybacks are estimated at roughly 7% of market cap. One of the most aggressive programs in crypto. ✅ This creates a powerful flywheel: Trading → Fees → Buybacks → Price appreciation → More attention → More trading. ✅ Combined with no major VC overhang and strong product-market fit, the effect becomes even stronger. Could Solana projects replicate this? In theory, yes. But most projects don’t generate enough fees, don’t control enough revenue, or have token emissions & unlock schedules that offset the impact of buybacks. Hyperliquid isn’t just a buyback only as well. It’s what happens when a highly profitable product directs almost all of its cash flow back into the token. That’s very hard to copy - but not impossible.
