    One of the more brutal DeFi charts is Euler. Remember wanting to buy around $2.5 but the liquidity is insufficient to build a position. Price now trading below these levels. Euler leadership has stepped down and a new CEO taking the reigns from here. Revenues collapsed compared to other money market protocols. For something like this you want to see growth coming back before allocating.

    The $EUL token is crazyly undervalued currently. It is a $2B TVL state-of-the-art lending protocol with amazing flexibility and creation potential. Getting leveraged more and more by different set of curators. @eulerfinance is the comeback arc by excellence. Massive opportunity IMO. I own some $EUL evidently

    Lot of vesting cliff unlocked jokes—But I won’t be one of them Michael Built Euler from nothing to be a cutting edge lending protocol from day one - pioneering flash loans and strategies in the lending protocol itself Euler v2 was built with the best possible security guarantees, and once again was a pioneer, this time with modular lending primitives that expanded what was possible - with Eulerswap later extending that further by integrating dex functionality as well. And it did so while sticking to many of DeFi’s core principles of immutable, simple primitives that unlock powerful functionality when composed together. Euler was unfortunately hit hard by Stream - its permissionless nature and and somewhat hands off approach by the team were a double edged sword; it meant assets could and were listed by curators which weren’t always vetted to the degree a more permissioned protocol would be. At the same time, that permissionless nature is what made it a truly great DeFi protocol and keep it hyper relevant even post Stream. Since Euler never targeted strongly to retail users, I think less people understand how cool it is outside of DeFi professionals, but it truly is a leading edge protocol that pushes the industry forward to this day. I wish Michael the best on his next endeavors and I hope Euler can move on from Stream to become a stronger, better protocol as well.

    It has been almost six years since I started building Euler. It has been a demanding journey, requiring an extraordinary amount of tenacity, resilience and determination, with real highs (and a few notable lows) along the way. It is a journey that has shaped me both professionally and personally, and as startup journeys go, it has been a complete and formative experience. Last year we achieved something many people told us was impossible. We brought the project back to life and grew to over $4bn in total deposits in under a year. That outcome came from an extraordinary amount of determination and hard work, and from a willingness to experiment and push boundaries. Some things worked very well, others less so. In hindsight, I do not think the fully permissionless vision that Doug and I set out to build in 2020, at least in its pure form, ultimately found strong product market fit. That does not diminish the work or the ambition behind it, but it does point clearly to the need for a change in direction and a f
