Pacific island nation Nauru appointed crypto entrepreneur Dadvan Yousuf as International Trade Commissioner to help advance the country's digital asset strategy and attract global investment. Nauru President David Adeang said the move is aimed at strengthening cross‑border cooperation with virtual‑asset service providers, financial institutions and technology companies. Nauru enacted legislation last year to establish the Command Ridge Virtual Asset Authority (CRVAA) as a dedicated regulatory body overseeing licensing and supervision of crypto enterprises and digital banks. Previously, Dadvan Yousuf was subject to regulatory action by FINMA in Switzerland over projects he founded; the Dohrnii Foundation and its founder conducted unlicensed regulated activities by issuing the DHN token and other means, leading FINMA to order dissolution and liquidation.
