AltLayer’s Restaked Rollup framework takes rollups built on any major stack like OP Stack, Arbitrum Orbit, ZKStack, Polygon CDK and layers on EigenLayer restaking through three modular services, VITAL for decentralized state verification, MACH for faster transaction finality and SQUAD for decentralized sequencing addressing the common problem of app specific rollups relying on a single trusted, centralized sequencer:

- Beyond rollup infrastructure, AltLayer now explicitly positions itself as an open and decentralized protocol for rollups and agents, building x402 and EIP-8004 based tooling for what it calls the agentic economy, covering AI agent discovery, onchain reputation and agent to agent payments, a meaningful different scope than pure rollup tooling.
- The no code Rollups as a service dashboard lets both developers and non technical users spin up a customized rollup in minutes, supporting multiple VMs (EVM and WASM), various shared sequencing services like Espresso and Radius and data availability layers including Celestia and Avail with ephemeral rollups letting a team spin up a temporary, application specific rollup for a demand spike and settle it back to Ethereum when done.
- Backers include Polychain Capital, Binance Labs, Jump Crypto and individuals like Ethereum co-founder Gavin Wood and Circle co-founder Sean Neville with live deployments including Cyber L2 (built with Cyber, part of the Optimism Superchain) and a rollup for Sony’s Soneium.

Is a technically substantive pivot into agent payment infrastructure, paired with genuine production rollup deployments for names like Sony, enough to offset a token still deep in its multi year vesting schedule with regular unlock driven selling pressure or does 36% of supply still locked through 2027, against a token already down over 50% in three months, suggest dilution will keep outpacing whatever demand the agentic pivot generates?
