For those wrapping their heads around $ICP's new cloud engines, here's what you need to know 1. You can choose which node machines you use So institutions can set everything to the regions they operate in. This gives a new level of compliance relief with regulators. 2. You can use AWS and Google Hardware to create "Virtual" Node machines So you dont NEED ICP's dedicated hardware Institutions already comfortable with AWS can still use them for their own tamper-proof layer and migration between traditional Nodes to new ones (and back) is seamless Software is less bound to what Hardware its on and state is always persistent so no headaches when switching 3. 20% of Node Revenue is Burned This adds another deflationary mechanism to the network and incentivizes Node Providers to want more traffic instead of just sitting around and getting fixed subsidies But this will only be on cloud engines, however traditional nodes are getting their rewards cut just like stakers This is an exciting time for ICP, things are becoming less clunky and against the grain. Major bridges are being built for Institutional adoption and Traditional Nodes Providers are getting kicked off the gravy train Also, creating a cloud engine on AWS is permissionless, so we're now able to hijack our competitor's own infrastructure to use against the node provider monopoly thats been hurting the network These are my main takeaways anyways, comment below anything I missed or got wrong
