➤ Aptos’ Coca-Cola Thesis I recently read a research piece by @AveryChing (CEO of @AptosLabs also highlighted by Animoca Brands) and found a compelling idea: "Aptos’ economic model is inspired by Coca Cola winning through massive volume, not high margins." What is the Coca-Cola thesis? Coca-Cola doesn’t sell drinks at high margins. It sells cheaply, everywhere, and profits from enormous global volume. Applied to blockchains: instead of charging high transaction fees, a chain keeps fees near zero to maximize usage and transaction volume. Value is captured indirectly from the GDP of applications built on top: DeFi, RWA, payments, credit, and more. Basic flow: Low fees → more transactions → more apps & utility → larger ecosystem → the chain captures value via tokenomics, treasury, and app-driven revenue. How this changes the chain model: > For the chain: More sustainable long term.
