    Ah yes, the glorious “coin everything” vision — truly priceless… as in, worth basically nothing. Zora whole “attention market” thing somehow manages to be even worse than memes: shorter hype cycle, faster trip to zero. Naturally, most buyers end up holding the bag. Real value? Pretty much none. Honestly, the only reason it even looked alive was the occasional shilling from Brian and Jesse. And judging by the numbers, Coinbase was clearly funding the experiment too — conveniently parked in “expenses” (which casually inflated to around $5.75B in 2025). Now it kinda feels like Coinbase is trying to gently pass Zora over to Solana — maybe hoping meme degens will give it a new home (hehe) and, ideally, help trim those expenses at last.

    Bought a Zora attention market token cuz I thought they had no creator fees and was excited little did I know this shit has a 1% platform fee hahahaha. Cant read solana very well and the docs are not updated with stuff about this new feature so can’t confirm. Any thoughts @jessepollak?? Standard protocol fee is .02-.03% for a launchpad. Charging more than that kills LPs. Zora would be a real competitor on Sol if this greed was fixed imo.

    zora really screwed/backstabbed Jesse did he see this comin probably not one thing is often certain to play out almost in every cases such as this, projects will always pivot to the ecosystem thats in their favor AKA higher upside. its forever being like this no hard feelings, still genuinely feel bad for Jesse he’s a based supporter helped tons of folks actualize their vision. movie.
