tl;dr: WAGMI people see ‘crypto success’ and think it’s just about catching the right coin early. sometimes it is. but most times? it’s surviving your own decisions long enough to keep going. i’ve had a lot of rough patches, and these are just a few i can remember to list. i minted a CelestineSloths nft for $11 in 2024 and watched it run to almost $8k. today it’s around $162 and i’m still holding. why? because i believed modular airdrops were coming. i thought conviction would eventually pay off. none came, but at least i met @Phantomk88 in 2025, i minted multiple eclipse NFTs. nft portfolio peaked around $6k. guess who held everything to zero? me i believed in the SVM thesis and was expecting a resounding ecosystem rewards that eventually came… but ended up being close to dust. then there was Almanak, the cursor of AGI🤣 i burned 4 figs farming points via pendle YT positions. grinded content on the tl, stayed active and finished top 25 on their cookie leaderboard. for the first time in a while, i genuinely thought: ‘yeah… maybe this is finally it, finally gonna end the year with a big bang’ allocation came, was really good then listing happened, poor market, poor price action - really devastating couldn’t even break even. that one messed with me emotionally for a while, but then again, i met @_Jamisky, @fezz_gg and @senseii_gg and one of my craziest moments? i bought a $WIF bag after it bonded on pumpfun sold the entire bag for less than $50. at ath, that bag would’ve been worth over $400k. I laughed about it at the time, but sometimes i genuinely wonder if life would’ve been different and easier if i held a little longer. but the biggest decision i made wasn’t even a trade. in 2023, i sold basically all my crypto assets to invest in myself and start a different life path. yeah, those assets i sold did many crazy Xs (eg sold madlad for $2k, later went to $32k and holders got a long list of incentives) since then, it’s been years of hustling, adapting, trying to survive the reality of web2 while still staying connected to crypto and trying to show up. and honestly? web2 hasn’t exactly been kind either, just so much to accomplish within such a short timeframe. but through all of this, i realized something important: this is still where i want to be. i left my career in 2022 to go full-time into web3, and at the time, it felt like the best decision i could make. but sometimes now, i still wonder if it truly was 🤦🏾‍♂️ but, crypto is still one of the best thing i’ve ever spent my life doing. despite the losses, mistakes, emotional swings, watching opportunities slip through my hands. it’s one of the few things i can spend 24 hours a day on without feeling the slightest fatigue… not true 🤣 yeah, i can feel crazy, withdrawn, exhausted, overwhelmed, unmotivated, unlucky… whatever. but somehow, i always find my way back lol. it’s like that addiction you don’t want to hold on, even when it’s killing you. and deep down, i still believe there’s something here worth figuring out - for me, and maybe for you reading this too. so now, i’m just focused on finding the missing pieces. learning better. moving smarter. risking more and staying alive long enough to eventually get it right. wagmi.
