Did you know $APT works of a Rewards Rate rather than an Inflation Rate? 🤓 Almost every other PoW or PoS chain has a flat Inflation rate, based on total circulating supply. Aptos has a rewards rate - meaning 2.6% is not the actual Inflation Rate, its the rate at which Rewards are earned for Staked Aptos - meaning 2.6% is the maximum possible inflation rate if 100% circulating supply is Staked. However, in reality 829M/1200M circulating Aptos are staked. 69% staked x 2.6% Rewards Rate = 1.79% is the real Inflation Rate. Aptos Inflation Rate is one of the lowest in the space. It means at the current staking rate only 14.84M new Aptos are created annually via the Rewards Rate Inflation. At current burn rates of ~7,000 Aptos daily, 2.55M Aptos will be burned annually via usage. Aptos is only another 6x Gas Fee Increase OR 6x On-Chain Txs from becoming deflationary. But imagine, a year from now we have BOTH 10x the Txs AND another 10x Gas Fee Increase vote Passes again. 10 x 10 = 100x overall on burned Aptos anually 2.55M x 100 = 255M annually burned, ~15M annually generate via Rewards Rate. Aptos would become hyper-deflationary 🔥🔥 Hard money, utility, guaranteed scarcity - the best store of value.
