CEO gathering user feedback on NYE, one and only. I have previously cautioned about @zora creator coin blow back PR wise, user exhaustion and poor pool design leading to -95% crash for creator coins back in June-July. Yes we are not even in a deep bear market yet, but many of these royal @base users are down 95%-98% because of creator coins, they went fomo because it was way too heavily promoted. However I think also think creator coin has value, but more of this has to happen more organically instead of being the sole @base marketing focus. Below is what can be done better. - if @base wanna build all line of onchain products, communicate so. Strike a balance between defi, social, utilities and etc. - allow innovation and be supportive of these builders, but be vigilant on who you support, be selective on some of them. Example, many apps on @baseapp mini app isn’t nicely designed, they don’t work. I have used them and they actually made me start to feel bearish. (From someone who’s a maxi). If you wanna be a nice guy and promote all builders regardless of user experience, then you are not taking care of your users who are equally as important as builders. - be careful of feedback during bear market and bull market, both can be equally dangerous. TBH, I think @base communication and execution got way better since 2 months ago. At least I feel communication and focus was in deep trouble 6 months ago, but now heading to much better places for 2+ month already.

prediction markets are the real answer to this idea that you can speculate on who's going to be the next mr beast "Will ABC creator hit 10m views EOY?" owning a token that represents creator/content allows you to speculate, but it's too open ended and requires them to use Zora

i've been telling you all zora and creator coins are dumb. coinbase and jesse continuing to tie the success of base to zora is a disaster. fumble of epic proportions unfolding before our eyes. as an early base grinder via @virtuals_io, base has been such a disappointment.

Launching a coin as a creator (Zora, pumpfun streams) is a content death trap for three reasons: 1. Your audience stops caring about you & only cares about price 2. Every down candle turns your content into a liability 3. You lock yourself into defending a chart instead of creating freely We’ve seen this with pumpfun streamer coins, once price becomes the product, creators lose narrative control and burn trust fast. Good creators compound attention. Tokens accelerate attention… then collapse it.

I actually do think the Zora folks are onto something despite all the hate. Reality is, all they need is ONE coin to run (and stay running) for the entirety of the trenches to pay 100% attention to everything in that ecosystem and it creates a WONDERFUL bubble effect which will print thousands of new millionaires on-chain, only for the momentum to eventually come tumbling down just like every other good meta we've had And we are to face the harsh reality that EVERYTHING is a bubble (including sol/gold/stocks) just that some bubbles are more accepted than others I do wish someone would just dev up some funky downside protection AMM so that momentum could last forever.

craps like whitewhale currently sitting at 60m mcap while @brian_armstrong @jessepollak @base and @zora can't even get nick shirley's cc above 10M think its safe to say its jover for creator and content coins, such a waste of time
