Anyone playing MEZO yet? @MezoNetwork
I voted for the MEZO/MUSD pool and received veMEZO, so I got the chance to pioneer using ve(3,3) on DeFi for $BTC.
gas uses tBTC bridged from EVM, or if transferred directly from the Bitcoin chain it will be automatically converted to tBTC (currently bridging tBTC to MEZO requires a source from mainnet, and direct transfers from the base chain are not yet possible).
the tokenomics are simple; anyone familiar with ve(3,3) will understand easily, but on MEZO, having only veMEZO yields only emissions.
If you stake only veBTC (you can choose 1‑4 epochs or 1‑4 weeks), you gain the right to vote on pools to receive swap fees. Adding veMEZO boosts the reward (up to 5x), with the boost amount depending on the veBTC to veMEZO ratio.
Note: This post is for educational purposes only. Interacting with smart contracts always carries risk; start by testing with a small amount of funds.
I usually dump all my airdrops but I haven't done that with $MEZO
I actually locked it
price is down but I'm betting on it long term
first of all, airdrop lockers got 2x allo
second, @MezoNetwork stats are pretty good:
> 4% real yield on BTC
> $70M+ TVL before token even went live
> 37k+ mUSD holders earning fees on loans and swaps
third, they have a pretty decent flywheel in place
every new BTC deposit → more demand for veMEZO (they need it to boost BTC yield) → more yield for lockers
let's see in 1 year if I was right
in the meanwhile, I'll keep holding
