This is BIG... @virtuals_io is moving into PHYSICAL ROBOTICS and most of the timeline has missed it! What you need to know; ➥ Robotics is the 4th pillar of the Virtuals Ecosystem. It was officially launched as such last year ~October time and adds on to previous pillars across the launchpad (and capital formation), ACP, and Butler! ➥ Through 2025, Virtuals invested heavily in robotics companies and entered into numerous partnerships. @openmind_agi, @xmaquina and @BitRobotNetwork to name a few. ➥ Initially the play was agentic robotics and the robotics data layer. That's now changed as Virtuals are moving into physical robotics to really round out the robotics offering as a whole of ecosystem play! ➥ Eastworld Labs has been established as a physical robotics lab with the overarching goal of making it easier for founders to build in the humanoid robotics space. Think of it as an AI - Robotics accelerator. ➥ It's a 10,000 square foot workspace where builders from across robotics can come together and build, experiment, collaborate, and make use of all that Virtuals has to offer to push the robotics space forward. This space in KL will eventually be the home of the Virtuals offices too. ➥ Founders and builders have an idea, tokenize and raise funds on Virtuals, and if that token hits a $5m valuation, they can be accepted into the Eastworld labs residency program. ➥ Eastworld labs residency offers; ↠ Access to 30 physical humanoid robots for testing (Top of the range @UnitreeRobotics G1s). ↠ On-site support from the team of experts at the lab, including the Virtuals co-contributors. ↠ An opportunity to be introduced to some of the big robotics partnerships Virtuals has established. ➥ Teams can gain access to the residency without tokenisation however this would require Virtuals to personally back the projects in advance in a kind of seed fund manner. ➥ Focus will most likely initially be around tele-robotics where the idea is having robotics perform physical tasks, being operated remotely in areas of cheaper labour. This phase could take up to 18 months to become reality so we are still early here! ➥ Fun fact, Eastworld, the name of the robotics lab, is actually a play on the Westworld science fiction TV series! TLDR This is a big step in an exciting direction for Virtuals. By adding physical robotics, via Eastworld labs, Virtuals are rounding out their robotics play to become a whole of robotics ecosystem. Once again, positioning themselves ahead of the curve in an emerging narrative. The potential across physical robotics is massive and can move $Virtual into the billions in terms of valuation! The vision is early, but it's big, and provides a further step for Virtuals to move into the 'real world' with their offerings.
