Pavel @durov must have read my privacy tweet, because this update fits the topic almost too perfectly. #Cocoon, Telegram’s decentralized confidential compute network on TON, is apparently live. The idea addresses a real issue: centralized compute providers like Amazon and Microsoft increase costs and reduce privacy. Cocoon attempts to remove that layer entirely. They plan to expand GPU supply and developer usage in the coming weeks, with new Telegram AI features built on top of this confidential compute model. This is not a shill and not an ad. I simply think it’s worth mentioning because it points in a direction that actually prioritizes privacy. The remaining question is how the AI itself will be governed, especially when it comes to responding to clearly illegal or harmful requests.
