I've seen many replies from friends; I didn't explain clearly, sorry. My question is: what are the advantages and disadvantages of decentralized storage? Without mentioning any token, excluding price influence, focusing purely on the decentralized storage sector. Is this sector doable? If it can be, what needs can be practically implemented? If not, what is the biggest problem of decentralized storage? Hope to discuss with everyone. Thanks https://t.co/6zodxCanyj

I happened to see this information, and what intrigued me wasn't taking relatives to trade coins, but why the once‑celebrated “king‑level” project Filecoin has ended up at this point. If you mention $DOT, that's understandable— the cross‑chain arena has temporarily run out of tricks. And if you bring up $ICP, that's also understandable, as the story no longer holds together. But I think $FIL still has speculation space. Memory storage is booming right now; brother Chuanmu @xiaomucrypto has been going long on Korea's EWY and on memory maker Hynix, which has been wildly popular lately. It’s clear that with the rise of AI, storage supply can’t keep up. Centralized storage has nothing more to say; the demand is right there. So why hasn't decentralized storage taken off in speculation? I've actually written about this before, and I know the reason: the real demand is for HBM and VRAM, and decentralized storage really can't help with that. Address: https://t.co/aur5iVThJj But today, while chatting with Kang哥 @tktang88, he raised a question: in theory, a business works on both ends, like luxury goods and Pinduoduo— two extremes. Centralized storage prioritizes performance but lacks privacy, whereas decentralized storage offers privacy but indeed falls short on performance. I've written about this as well: as data volumes keep expanding, AI‑generated content grows, and cross‑institutional and cross‑jurisdictional data collaboration becomes frequent, the real scarcity in the future will not be storage capacity but certainty of responsibility, provenance, and timeliness. The value of on‑chain storage lies not in holding the content itself, but in providing an immutable proof, index, and responsibility‑anchoring mechanism. Address: https://t.co/j9hcDOti2B But this should be a space for discussion, yet I hardly see any dialogue between decentralized and centralized storage. Without the development of decentralized storage, the issues of centralized verification may gradually surface. Therefore, I really want to discuss with everyone: what value does decentralized storage have today, what are its drawbacks, what value might it have in the future, and what drawbacks? Everyone is welcome to discuss.

FIL has decentralized storage value, but due to performance limitations, it still has speculation space in the short term.

A sincere piece of advice: Never trade crypto with relatives. A few years ago I introduced an older sister from my aunt's family to the crypto world, bought #FIL for her, and she ended up losing almost everything. She transferred her money to me, and I handled the trades. I repeatedly told her that the market's risk and reward are proportional, gains can double, losses can halve. To avoid responsibility, I even signed a contract stating profit and loss are her own. I showed her the purchase screenshot, and she said she could bear the loss. In the end, she lost $6,000. The matter got back to the family, my dad and others found out. People don't care whether you warned them about the risk, they only look at the result. They even suspected I took a kickback. In the end, to avoid embarrassing my dad, I covered more than $3,000 myself. At that time I was already in debt, because my FIL losses amounted to hundreds of thousands, leaving me in a terrible situation. I didn't make a single cent, and I also lost money and goodwill. Since then I realized one thing: Money in the crypto world can only be earned by oneself, you can't take on others' losses. It's not that you're insincere, it's that when money mixes with family ties, even the best relationships become tarnished. From then on I never had any crypto involvement with relatives again. The lesson was costly, but worthwhile. To be honest, your intentions were good at the time. But adults must take responsibility for their own decisions. This isn't cold-blooded; it's setting boundaries.

SanDisk ( $SNDK ) went from $40 to $650. In one year. Not because of hype. Because the world is running out of storage. - AI is eating data alive. - A single Nvidia NVL72 rack needs 1.1 petabytes of NAND. - Data center storage demand is growing 40% per year. NAND supply can't keep up, and shortages could last a decade. This is the biggest signal for decentralized storage in crypto. When centralized storage gets expensive and bottlenecked, alternatives like @Filecoin , @ArweaveEco , and @storj become the obvious play. Cheaper, distributed, no vendor lock-in, and cryptographically verified. Filecoin already has 20+ exbibytes of capacity. Its Onchain Cloud is built for AI workloads. Projects using it are seeing up to 80% cost savings. SanDisk's run isn't competition for decentralized storage. It's confirmation that storage is the next mega-narrative, and crypto has a seat at the table.

$FIL has been sliding inside this descending channel for months, and now it’s right back at the lower edge again. This is the kind of spot where things usually get interesting. Every previous touch of this boundary led to at least a short-term bounce. Price is compressed, momentum is muted, and volatility is drying up, which often comes before a move. If FIL can push back above 2.10 and build acceptance there, a relief rally toward the mid-channel is possible. But if this floor gives way cleanly, the structure weakens fast. This isn’t a random level. It’s a make-or-break zone. DYOR, NFA #FIL #CryptoMarket

FIL is facing a critical decision at the bottom of a long-term downtrend channel; if it breaks above 2.10 it could rebound, otherwise the structure will weaken.

$FIL – Reversal starting? 👀🚀 On daily, $FIL broke out of its double bottom neckline with strong volume and a solid candle 🔥 What’s interesting is the next red candle — big red volume but small body. That suggests heavy selling got absorbed by buyers 💪 If today’s daily close holds above the neckline, high chance $FIL continues up toward $1.18 📈

The top gainers 2-3 days ago were: DOT, NEAR, UNI, FIL, APT Then checking FIL's peak price was terrifying, it's down 744 times from the top! Yet the market cap is still over $1 billion @.@ Selling after 5 years of holding still yields a meager profit!!! https://t.co/NTtVlu9PKi
