Truly interesting chart, buying a small swing here. Not much left to do other than going to zero or giving multiples, you gotta be fine with both outcomes though. $ENA https://t.co/qICXshbL0r

#ENA why did it drop so sharply? Is it just market conditions or are there team mistakes? Let's discuss the process that is driving investors crazy and the mistakes made, point by point. $ENA #Ethena #Crypt Sustainability Issue: The high yield offered by Ethena works on the fuel of a bull market. When funding rates drop, the model's appeal ends. The team failed to give the community confidence on how to keep this system alive in a bear market. Team and Communication Mistakes: The team sometimes displayed a too “arrogant” attitude toward criticism. Brushing off risk management questions with a “you don’t understand” vibe harms corporate trust. Transparency isn’t just a dashboard; it’s shown by behavior during crises. Lock Releases and Inflation: With large lock releases looming, the team didn’t set up sufficient buy‑back or burn mechanisms, paving the way for a free fall in price. Investors felt the team wasn’t protecting its own token. $LUNA Trauma: Even if the team says “we’re different”, they underestimated the market’s fear of a “synthetic dollar”. When risk parameters hardened, they couldn’t craft a story to keep users inside. In conclusion, even if the technology works on paper, crypto is a trust business. While the $ENA team focused on the technical side, they left community management and market psychology in the classroom. Reversing from these levels requires concrete trust rebuilding. Team Behaviors Seen as “Mistakes” • Over‑Aggressive Growth: Focusing on rapid TVL (Total Value Locked) increase without fully balancing risks. • Centralization Critiques: Decision‑making mechanisms are managed by a small, closed team far from the community. @ethena

Ethena’s Synthetic Dollar Model: Sustainable Yield or Reflexive Flywheel? You deposit collateral on @ethena → protocol holds spot (BTC / ETH / SOL or stables) → opens an equal notional short on perps or futures → net delta ~0. At peak in Oct 2025, supply hit $14.8B. Now it’s around $6.5B after a massive unwind. Ethena is a tokenized cash-and-carry trade. The yield comes from three buckets: – perp funding – futures basis – collateral yield (staking + stable yield) Funding is the big one. In risk-on regimes, perps trade rich and longs pay shorts. Ethena is structurally short, so it collects. Historically, OI-weighted funding has looked roughly like: – 2024 funding averaged ~11% BTC / ~12–13% ETH – 3-year avg roughly ~9% ETH, ~7–8% BTC – 82%+ of days had positive funding Ethena has cited ~19% average sUSDe APY in 2024 when conditions were hot. That’s the sustainable yield argument paid by leveraged traders. Then they add: – a bit of staking yield if stETH / LST is in the mix – stable yield when they rot

Ethena's synthetic dollar model offers high yields through arbitrage operations, but its sustainability is questionable.

With the Lunar New Year holiday, I faced the reality I had deliberately avoided. This is my portfolio review. The current returns are as follows. 1. $ENA (-81.71%) : -$21,811 2. $KAITO (-76.08%) : -$13,891 3. $POL (-33.56%) : -$1,650 4. $BTC (-13.53%) : -$456 5. $SOL (-29.52%) : -$2,575 I am not good at taking stop‑loss or taking profit. I tend to hold for the long term once I buy. Because of that I have sometimes made several‑fold gains, but on the other hand I have also taken direct hits of -70~80% declines. Usually the investment amount per token is similar, so the impact was limited, This time, however, the large positions in ENA and KAITO dropped sharply, making the whole portfolio feel collapsed. I invested in both projects with a certain conviction, For ENA, the cancellation of the expected Converge and the delay of the Fee Switch caused a huge drop, and I don’t know how to respond. For KAITO, I bought aiming for eco rewards and immediately saw a drop; the sudden X API update sent it down in one blow, leaving me unable to react and feeling uneasy. I am thinking about maybe just accumulating Bitcoin for the next few years, but Bitcoin also dropped -10% right after buying, making it hard to decide. Should I keep accumulating Bitcoin, should I average down the altcoins I’m stuck with, or should I clean up now and re‑structure around Bitcoin and Ethereum… I have a lot of doubts.

The market is wising up, in my opinion. Yes, the discourse is rapidly shifting into measuring apps by revenue generated. No, not every token generating increased revenue will survive or outperform. Top Revenue Growth Protocols vs. Price Growth over the past 30 days. $ENA +690% Rev Growth/-40% Price Growth $UNI +569% Rev Growth/ - 33% Price Growth $CRV +104% Rev Growth/ -29% Price Growth $GMX +50% Rev Growth/ -19% Price Growth $RAY +32% Rev Growth/ -21% Price Growth The relationship between token, revenue, and narrative is becoming clearer every cycle.
