Numbers Protocol通过$NUM代币提供数字内容信任的五层验证解决方案。

The 5 Layers of Digital Trust in 2025

You’re trusting everything you see online without thinking

Every image, every video, every “leaked” screenshot, you have zero proof any of it is real.

If you want to understand how digital trust actually works, there are only five layers that matter.

@numbersprotocol is the only platform that covers all layers.

Here’s the breakdown so you actually get it:

▻ Layer 1: Capture Integrity
Was the photo/video really taken at that time and place? The app locks the sensor data so fake timestamps won’t work.

▻ Layer 2: Content Integrity
If the file is edited or altered, the app’s fingerprint won’t match anymore.

▻ Layer 3: Chain of Custody
Every time the file is shared or changed, it’s recorded on a blockchain like a digital passport.

▻ Layer 4: Contextual Integrity
Attach sounds or nearby info to prove what was happening when the media was captured.

▻ Layer 5: Future-Proof Evolution (ERC-7053)
If you edit or remix the media later, it still keeps the original history using ERC-7053.

Now the part nobody likes to admit:
Instagram, TikTok, and even X give you Layer 0.
The only guarantee is “someone uploaded this. That’s not trust.

Numbers Protocol actually solves the full stack with open-source tools you can use right now.
- Journalists use it to protect sources.
- Creators use it to prove ownership.
- Courts and election monitors use it because “trust me” isn’t proof anymore.

You don’t have to guess what’s real, but you can verify it.

EIP-7053 is a new standard for on-chain media updates in Web3, and Numbers Protocol uses it to achieve verifiable media provenance.

Most people think “blockchain is immutable so you cant update anything.”

True, but also not the full story

There’s a new standard changing how we handle digital media on-chain: EIP-7053.

So, what is EIP-7053?
It’s an open indexing standard for digital media.
Every file, content, photo gets a content ID, and every future update becomes a new on-chain commit tied to that same ID.

▻ How it works on @numbersprotocol ?
Numbers uses EIP-7053 as the backbone for its provenance system.
When a photo or video enters the network:
‣ It gets a content fingerprint (CID/NID)
‣ Numbers app or sdk commits that ID to the chain using the 7053 commit function
‣ That commit becomes the first entry of the asset’s on-chain history
‣ Any future updates or metadata get appended as new commits, without rewriting the past

You get an immutable chain of truth, but it's still flexible enough to track versions, edits, or proof of creation.

▻ Why does this matter for web3?
We finally have a shared, open standard for media provenance. Any chain can adopt it. any project can build on it.

a single way for web3 to track where digital media comes from and how it changes over time.

For creators, journalists, ai datasets, NFT platforms, or any app that needs trusted media:
EIP-7053 gives you a way to prove origin, show history, detect tampering, and keep assets portable across networks.

We’re surrounded by ai-generated stuff, edits, and reposted content every day

so having real provenance actually matters now
EIP-7053 pushes us closer to a web3 where you can trust the origin of what you’re looking at

Provenance is not some future upgrade.
The tech runs today, and Numbers is one of the teams actually shipping it.

You turn media into verifiable assets with proofs.
Every time you anchor truth on-chain, $NUM gets used.

‣ ERC-7053 exists because Numbers helped write it
‣ C2PA connects them to Adobe, Microsoft, CAI
‣ NIST references their work

AI content floods every corner of the internet.
Fake screenshots move narratives.
RWA and audits need real proof, not editable images.

Numbers keeps the process simple:
‣ Capture or upload something
‣ NUM gets consumed
‣ The proof becomes traceable under ERC-7053 or C2PA

Now for the update many of you will use daily:
ProofSnap is live on Chrome.

You can take a screenshot from any source and turn it into a credible proof.

Each capture comes with a cryptographic timestamp and a blockchain receipt you can use in issues, PRs, or audits.

This fits creator tools, AI data, supply chain, legal, insurance, anything that depends on trusted media.
