Personally I think the perception that crypto feels like a casino is due to the self-custody & permissionless environment

In TradFi, in order to access some high level financial instruments, usually only institutions or the truly rich have access to them

But in Crypto, example for @solsticefi, anyone with a wallet & internet have full control & access to strategies like "delta-neutral yields" or liquidity provision

And because we have full control, we take up the risk of making mistakes too, which is why we hear so many stories of folks losing funds or assets to scammy protocols

On the other hand, we also hear stories of folks making so much wealth in this space.
