France's new regulations may render BTC/ETH encryption algorithms obsolete, posing quantum security risks.

🇫🇷 A GOVERNMENT JUST DECLARED BITCOIN'S ENCRYPTION OBSOLETE

France's cyber agency won't certify any security product without quantum-safe encryption after 2027.

It never mentions crypto. Not once.

But Bitcoin and Ethereum run on the exact algorithm France just rejected.

Elliptic curve cryptography.

The clock on "harvest now, decrypt later" just started ticking louder.

BTC/ETH, despite institutional support, remain below 2021 levels and are still bearish.

If you had told me in 2021 that

- there would be a pro-crypto president

- Bitcoin spot ETFs would get approved

- institutions would buy billions in BTC

I would have assumed a $200K BTC, $10K ETH, and a massive altseason.

Today we have all these things, and prices are even lower than in 2021.

About Bitcoin

Bitcoin (BTC) is a digital asset and a payment system invented by Satoshi Nakamoto who published a related paper in 2008 and released it as open-source software in 2009. The system featured as peer-to-peer; users can transact directly without an intermediary. Transactions are verified by network nodes and recorded in a public distributed ledger called the blockchain. The ledger uses bitcoin as its unit of account. The system works without a central repository or single administrator, which has led the U.S. Treasury to categorize bitcoin as a decentralized virtual currency. Bitcoin is often called the first cryptocurrency, although prior systems existed. Bitcoin is more correctly described as the first decentralized digital currency. It is the largest of its kind in terms of total market value by now.
