    Props to Matias for putting work in and giving the behind the scenes framework for all 3 of the ACPs that were announced last week. It looks like they plan on going big but taking the boring but necessary baby steps first.

    I posted last week that 273/236/277 is housekeeping. Matias confirms it. ACP-273 is “operationally right and economically incomplete” on its own. The reward curve fix has to land with it and thats the whole game.

    The most bullish ACP for price is the ETF custodian thesis. Matias calls shorter staking “a precondition for institutional plumbing.” This is built for Grayscale, Bitwise and institutions.

    Finally, he’s also telegraphing the burn mechanism without saying it. “inflation could respond to measured conditions rather than sit fixed.” That ACP is coming and I hope they’re looking at @bun_tzu ACP. $AVAX needs monetary policy not parameter tweaks. Avalabs/FDN looks like they want to go big 🔺

    Most important line in the article: “no blockchain funds its own security from its own activity. not the oldest, not the largest, not Avalanche. at least not yet.” Basically this entire industry is running an unsolved experiment.

    To the Avalanche community: Yes. I've been quiet. Quiet isn't idle. I understand why the two look the same from the outside, and closing that gap is on me. So here's what the quiet actually held. We put forward three ACPs aimed at validator economics and how the network rewards the work of securing itself. We built more precise ways to measure the chain's economic activity, and shared early results. Behind that, we tightened how the team runs day to day. Less visible, but it's why the rest moved, and why it moves faster now. I recognize the frustration, because this work isn't always visible from the outside.
