One thing i’ve learned watching infra chains is, price usually reacts later. usage reacts first. Aptos is a good example of that rn.. While majority of CT wrote it off because the token didn’t move, the chain itself kept getting used more. quietly, consistently, without drama. That’s usually how serious infrastructure grows. lets take a look at on chain usage of @Aptos - 3.9B+ total transactions processed with no major downtime - sub second finality in live conditions - real TPS peaks above 13k, not stress-test numbers - monthly active users crossing 10M+ during parts of 2025 that’s quite impressive when you compare it with other top tier L1s and the clearest signal for me has been stablecoins In mid December, Aptos saw ~$386M in stablecoin inflows in a single day, the highest across all chains at the time. Total stablecoin supply on the network has been hovering around $1.4–1.5B. That matters because stablecoins don’t move for narratives.. they move for settlement, payments, and yield. From a DeFi standpoint: - TVL crossed $1B+ earlier in the year - Lending, BTCFi, and yield protocols held steady even during weak price action - Large protocols like Aave chose Aptos for their first non-EVM deployment, which isn’t a casual decision. its huge On the ecosystem side, Aptos now has 330+ active projects across DePhi, RWAs, payments, infra, and consumer tools. You’re also seeing real-world assets live on-chain, including tokenized funds and yield-bearing dollars not just test deployments. Technically, the chain keeps shipping improvements that are boring in the best way: - parallel execution upgrades - latency reductions - better dev tooling around Move - education pushes lowering the learning curve for builders None of this pumps a chart overnight, but it does compound reliability. The pushback is valid though. Unlocks have hurt sentiment. Price has stayed disconnected from usage. Competition from Solana, Ethereum, Base, and others is intense. And Move, while safer and expressive, still has a learning cost. But stepping back, Aptos doesn’t look like a chain optimized for the next meme cycle. It looks more like infra being built for stablecoins, RWAs, payments, and regulated capital flows areas where low fees, uptime, and predictability matter more than hype. If crypto continues moving toward real financial use cases over the next cycle, Aptos’ numbers suggest it’s already being used that way even if the market hasn’t priced that in yet.
